BAITONG NG Tube---Guiding line
For patients with normal gastric motility, the lightweight and slender guiding line gently directs the tube. Assisted by gastric peristalsis, the tube easily passes through the pylorus along with gastric contents. Once the tube tip crosses the pylorus, the weighted tip guides the tube downward through the small intestine to the desired position. This design significantly improves successful placement rates while eliminating the need for endoscopic assistance, sparing patients procedural discomfort.
For patients with impaired gastric motility, the tube is placed endoscopically using biopsy forceps to grasp the guiding line at the tube tip. Under endoscopic guidance, the assembly is advanced through the pylorus and positioned deep into the small intestine, ideally reaching the duodenum or proximal to the ligament of Treitz.
